The Dow Family Children’s Home has been established to create

an atmosphere of a loving family home for the care of orphaned and abandoned children. It is our vision to live and work together as a family instead of a typical institutional setting. This family home is founded on and grounded in Christian values as derived from The Word of God. In addition to the immediate care of children, this home provides the opportunity for us as servants of Christ to reach out to the surrounding community in Christian ministry. The home is located on 1½ acres of land near Boito, Kenya in the small villages of Kipketii/Kapsiratet. We are totally funded by donations from churches, organizations, family and friends in the United States and Kenya. At the present time we have 48 children ranging in age from 1 month to 13 years. The Dow Christian Academy, a primary school serves the educational needs of our children and the children of the surrounding villages. We grow much of our own food as well as raise pigs, goats, chickens and rabbits. We feel that we are truly blessed to live in this community and serve the people of Kenya!
